Friends, Family & Others I Have Met. I wanted to take time to shamelessly plug a guy (Derek Cosson) who is single-handedly devoted to running a website mostly focused on local issues. I think he’s providing some of the most fair and balanced coverage of what’s happening in the city government though he does address other issues. He has now redesigned his site to better consolidate news from multiple sources. He often adds his own commentary, which is his right. I agree with him more often than not. What I like is that he often fills in some of the holes left when the News Journal reporters aren’t able to get their full stories in the paper. Taken together with what appears in the News Journal and Independent Weekly and what Rick Outzen posts on his blog you get a pretty broad view of local issues. I don’t own any stock in this guy's operation but appreciate that he’s busier than a one-armed paper hanger running this blog while doing his day job. I’d encourage you to take a look at what he’s doing. If it seems interesting you just need to hit the orange square in the upper right hand corner.
